Well, things have changed a lot since my last post on this topic. The event I had planned to attend was cancelled 4 days prior to when it was scheduled. I was frantically sewing and trying to finish my 30 princess dresses and 12 sundresses. When I found out it was cancelled, not only was I upset because of all of the time I had invested, I was also relieved because there was no way I was going to finish those dresses. To date I have completely finished 12 of the 30 princess dresses.
What to do??? I have been so swamped with bookkeeping and trying to squeeze in sewing that I seriously considered NOT doing a show this year. But, with all I have invested, not just in inventory but in grid panels and displays and props to make my displays look good, I decided to switch to another show that will be held in the same place...we are now showing our wares here:
And that is the lovely Paxton from Picture Me Models showing off one of my 30 dresses (one of the 12 finished ones). Last night I finished sewing the other 18 dresses...no, they aren't completely done because I still have buttons, bows, and ric rac to add (today's project right after I finish this blog and my tea). I still have many things to do before next Saturday, but I can at least see daylight with these dresses! Here is a peek at 2 more of the dresses that will be featured next Saturday. (There is also a red one that is not pictured but it is the same style.)
More models from Picture Me Models! Aren't they adorable? I have talked about this awesome boutique model listing agency before - you can read about them here if you missed it. And, if I'm really lucky and can stick to my schedule, I may finish 12 of these.
Up coming at Devonchey Creations...sew along with me as I create a gorgeous ruffled tree skirt designed by Little Lizard King patterns. Info on that can be found here. This will be coming up next month and I will post more info as soon as I know when we are starting. HAPPY CRAFTING!
